About

Welcome to My Ding.

I’m Stacey, and you’ve stumbled upon my creative outlet. My day job is behind a desk in the corporate world. But outside the office you’ll find me cooking, baking, thinking about what I’d like to cook and/or bake, food shopping, eating, and working out so that I can eat more. I’m recently married, and lucky for me, my husband also likes to do all of the above. We’re just waiting for the Food Network to discover how charming and talented we are, and give us our own show.

This blogging journey began years ago after a series of dating disasters so awful that I decided full disclosure and public humiliation were the only ways to mend my broken heart. Waiting for the Ding had a huge following among my Facebook friends (all 36 of them), but chronicling my love life came to an end when I met my Prince Charming and we tied the knot.

My next venture, Ding This, came about after we got married and I gained 10 pounds during the honeymoon. On a fixed income while paying off our wedding expenses, my husband and I began searching out healthy recipes we could enjoy on a budget. Documenting our amateur culinary hits and misses has quickly become my new favorite hobby.

Experts at living beyond our means, my husband and I enjoy trying out new restaurants, dive bars, and other foodie hangs in our native Los Angeles. We dream of someday being able to buy a house here. It’s good to have goals. Our two cats, Boots and Jane, run our lives and make frequent appearances in our Facebook and Instagram feeds. If you don’t like cat pictures, you’re in the wrong place.

This website is a collection of all my Dings – past, present and future. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy laughing with me, not at me.
